Other Training Opportunities


There are other training available to NZSL Tutors. Listed below are some recommended courses at  Auckland University of Technology:

Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults (CLTA)

This course is a preliminary qualification in language teacher training, aiming to provide an introduction to the theory and practice of language teaching to adults. The CLTA is an accepted preliminary qualification for the Graduate Diploma in Language Teaching to Adults.

Graduate Diploma in Language Teaching to Adults (Grad Dip LTA)

The Graduate Diploma in Language Teaching to Adults (Grad Dip LTA) programme provide advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills in language teaching to adults.

MA (Applied Language Studies)

This course is a research degree equivalent to two years of full-time study.  This programme offers graduates in Languages in advanced education and professional study relating to languages and specialisation in one or more area related to language studies.
